The Instructor:
Sensei Glen Phillips is the chief instructor at the dojo (studio). His qualifications and background are:
- Commenced training 1998
- 3rd Dan Black belt in Zen Do Kai
- 2nd degree black singlet in MuayThai
- Competitive Fighter and Trainer
- Qualified Karate Instructor with the World Karate Association
- Qualified Kickboxing Instructor with the World Kickboxing Association
- State judge & referee (Qualified with WKA)
- Black Belt of the Year - 2001
- Instructor of the Year - 2006
- Qualified First Aid Certificate Holder
- Working with children check
- Community after school fitness program
Phillips Dojos Teaching Philosophy:
- To teach a practical, ready to use system of Martial Arts in an atmosphere of care and safety.
- To gradually increase each student's physical fitness, flexibility, strength and speed.
- To teach the mental aspects of Martial Arts self control, discipline, focus and respect: characteristics needed by all successful people.
- To nurture student's confidence by improving their self defence skills and mental awareness.
