To whom it may concern,

Glen Phillips was employed as a self defence instructor at Woodvale SHS in Term 2, 2001. He instructed a group of 22 Year 11 Physical Education Studies students.

Glen was always very punctual to class and extremely organised for every lesson. He was very well presented which provided a role model for the students. He was polite yet firm with the students and this allowed classes to run smoothly with a large amount of content covered.

Glen's knowledge of self defence was ver extensive and his technique superb. He was able to demonstrate moves with precision, which provided students with an accurate model.

Glen's instructions were clear and eawy to understand. He used many different teaching strategies, such as repetition, demonstation and competition so all students were able to learn and progress quickly. Glen's assessment strategies were alse well planned.

Lastly, Glen was a very enthusiastic teacher. When students were unruly, he did not let this bother him. He continued to motivate the students through his own positive attitude.

I would not hesitate in recommending Glen to any school or organisation. I wish him success in his future endeavors.
