Welcome back!

Hope that you all had a good break over Christmas and New Year. Now is the time to work of the Christmas pudding, and get back into Zen Do Kai / kick boxing, for 2010.

Drink Bottles

It is compulsory for ALL student to bring a drink bottle to each class they attend. This does not include fizzy drinks. This is especially important as the weather has been very hot. The mugs at the dojo are not to be used instead of drink bottles.

Zen Do Kai Certificates

If you wish to purchase a Zen Do Kai certificate (the ones diesplayed above the Dojo mirrors) we sell them for $25 each. They are a great way to show what belt level your child has achieved. They easily fit into a frame for display.

Shop Stock

As you will see, we have changed the office area around. We have on display equipment that you may need for your requirements (if you are not sure what you need, please see Sensei Glen).

Email Address

Please check that you have your correct email address on the back of your child's attendance card. We will be emailing newsletters this year.

Road Rules

To younger students, please remember that once you have finished your class you must wait for your parent or guardian before you leave the Dojo, as the road is extremely busy with traffic. You are not to wait outside by the road.

Guest Instructors

In 2010 we hope to get some guest instructors to visit Phillips Dojo.

Zen Do Kai Birthday Parties

Don't forget that Sensei Glen does birthday parties at the Dojo. You just supply the food and we do the rest. Club members $250 for 1 ½ hours full of fun. Any enquiries just speak to Sensei Glen.

First Aid Course

Sensei Gen will be organising a group to attend a first aid course, if you are interested please add your name to the sheet on the blackboard, we need minimum 11 people - maximum 19 people. This is a fantastic way to update your first aid skills or to attend for the first time. Onve we get the numbers we can advise the date.

Fights

Some of our Muay Tai Kickboxing students will be fighting this year, we wish them the best of luck for the fights.

Calendar of Events for March

Sunday 7th March 1pm - Grading at Craigie Leisure Centre
Saturday 13th March 2pm - Gym Show at Kalamunda Kickboxing
Sunday 14th March 8am - BJJ Comp. at Craigie Leisure Centre

Sensei Glen will be holding special classes for those who enter the BJJ comp and the Kickboxing. If you wish to enter either of these comps, you will need to provide Sensei Glen with your name, weight, level and signature.

Once you have signed up for either or both of these, you will not be able to back out, so please be sure before you sign up. It is not fair for the organisers of these events or the other people who have entered them.
